These are the hands of your best friend, young and strong and full of love for you, that are holding yours on your wedding day, as you promise to love each other today, tomorrow and forever.

These are the hands that will work alongside yours, as together you build your future.

These are the hands that will love you and cherish you through the years.

These are the hands that will hold you in times of fear or grief, and with the slightest touch, will comfort you like no other.

These are the hands that will countless times wipe the tears from your eyes – tears of sorrow, and tears of joy.

These are the hands that will hold your children in tender love, soothing them through illness and hurt, supporting and encouraging them along the way.

These are the hands that will help you to hold your family as one.

These are the hands that will give you strength when you need it.

And lastly, these are the hands that even when wrinkled and aged, will still be reaching for yours, still giving you the same unspoken tenderness with just a touch.

Loving someone is a leap of faith

You are giving them your heart and trusting them not to break it

No matter what happens

I will still never regret making that leap for you…

Fly Me To The Moon ~ Frank Sinatra

Fly me to the moon

Let me sing among those stars

Let me see what spring is like on Jupiter and Mars

In other words, hold my hand

In other words, baby kiss me

Fill my heart with song

Let me sing for ever more

You are all I long for

All I worship and adore

In other words, please be true

In other words, I love you!

Cherish The Day….

My clients thrill me often.  Narissa and Steven were no exception to this.  Sharing their 2 day wedding (Hindu and Civil ceremonies) was like a warm festival of love, colour, family and emotion.  Incredible moments, spectacular memories.  It was an honor to be at your side in the planning and on your amazing and romantic days together.

Much love,

~ Warm thanks to Ikonica for their generous permission to reproduce the imagery…www.ikonica.ca – Gillian and the team was wonderful as always!  You captured the events perfectly….

The One

When the one whose hand you’re holding
Is the one one who holds your heart
When the one whose eyes you gaze into
Gives your hopes and dreams their start,
When the one you think of first and last
Is the one who holds you tight,
And the things you plan together
Make the whole world seem just right,
When the one whom you believe in
puts their faith and trust in you,
You’ve found the one and only love
You’ll share your whole life through

Kate and Merv, every moment of planning your wedding was so special.  You are a couple to truly admire and thank you for having Visions of Platinum & Garnet, plan, style and create the personal and reception florals for your amazing day in Uxbridge.  This wedding has a very special place in my heart and always will.

The reading “Union” by Robert Fulghum always makes me think of you both and it says this:

You have known each other from the first glance of acquaintance to this point of commitment. At some point, you decided to marry. From that moment of yes to this moment of yes, indeed, you have been making promises and agreements in an informal way. All those conversations that were held riding in a car or over a meal or during long walks — all those sentences that began with “When we’re married” and continued with “I will” and “you will” and “we will” — those late night talks that included “someday” and “somehow” and “maybe” — and all those promises that are unspoken matters of the heart. All these common things, and more, are the real process of a wedding.

The symbolic vows that you are about to make are a way of saying to one another, “You know all those things we’ve promised and hoped and dreamed — well, I meant it all, every word.”

Look at one another and remember this moment in time. Before this moment you have been many things to one another — acquaintance, friend, companion, lover, dancing partner, and even teacher, for you have learned much from one another in these last few years. Now you shall say a few words that take you across a threshold of life, and things will never quite be the same between you. For after these vows, you shall say to the world, this is my husband, this is my wife.

Dear Kate and Merv, I hope you are enjoying newlywed bliss and I send you much love,
